Privacy policy. Your data stays yours.

Conxt is an AI memory layer that captures decisions, preferences, and context from your AI sessions and makes them available across tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign up with a password, our sign-in provider (Supabase) stores it as a one-way hash; Conxt never sees it. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us.

Memory records: Conxt extracts structured records from your AI conversations — decisions you make, preferences you express, and entities you reference such as projects, tools, and people. We do not keep raw conversation transcripts. When the extension sends a conversation, its text is kept only until memories are extracted from it, then deleted. If extraction fails, the text is kept so it can be retried, and deleted after 30 days at most.

Sensitive content: Before anything is stored, Conxt checks each conversation for recognised secrets such as API keys, access tokens and database passwords. A conversation that contains one is not stored and nothing is extracted from it. Card numbers and social security numbers are removed before storage. Email addresses and phone numbers are kept, because they are how a memory names a person.

Usage data: We collect basic usage metrics such as the number of memory records created and sessions captured. We do not collect keystroke data or browsing history.

Extension data: The Conxt Chrome extension reads conversation content only on claude.ai, chatgpt.com (and chat.openai.com), gemini.google.com and grok.com. It does not read content on any other website. From version 1.3.0 you can pause capture, review each chat in your browser before it is sent, or mark a chat never to be captured, which keeps it out from then on. The extension sends a chat as the whole conversation, so a chat you keep using after resuming capture, or save after discarding it once, is sent with its earlier messages. Chats waiting for review stay in your browser and are cleared when you sign out, or after 7 days.

We use your data solely to provide the Conxt service:

— To extract and store memory records from your AI sessions — To inject relevant context into new AI sessions on your behalf — To display your memory records in the Conxt dashboard — To maintain your account and authenticate your identity

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS in the United States (Oregon). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256.

The Chrome extension keeps your Conxt sign-in session and user ID in the browser's extension storage. It sends them only to Conxt, to authenticate the conversations it captures and the context it requests.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only as follows:

— Service providers: Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in, Railway runs our backend, and Vercel hosts this website. Anthropic processes captured conversation text to extract memories and checks new decisions for conflicts with earlier ones. OpenAI processes memory text to build the search index that finds relevant memories. These providers process data on our behalf under their terms, and Anthropic and OpenAI do not train their models on data sent through their APIs. — Payments: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment and receives your email address and Conxt user ID. Card details go to Stripe directly; we never see them. — Sign-in: if you sign in with Google, Google knows you use Conxt. — Apps you connect: when you connect an AI app to Conxt yourself (see Connected AI apps), it receives the memories it reads while you use it. — Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We do not share your memory records or conversation data with advertisers or analytics companies.

You can connect AI apps such as Claude to your Conxt memory by signing in to Conxt and choosing Allow. That app then acts for you, not as you:

— It can read your memories and your teams' approved memories, save new memories, and edit or retract memories when you ask it to. — It can propose team memories and actions, but only a person signed in to Conxt can approve them. — It cannot read your account settings, billing details or API keys.

Conxt records every memory a connected app reads, with the app and the time. What the app does with what it reads is governed by that app's own privacy policy. To disconnect, remove Conxt in the app's settings; to have us revoke its access on our side too, email hello@conxt.dev.

You have the right to:

— Access your data: Export your full memory graph as JSON at any time from the dashboard. — Delete your data: Delete individual memory records from the dashboard, or delete your entire account by emailing hello@conxt.dev. Account deletion permanently removes all associated data within 30 days. — Correct your data: Edit or delete any memory record directly from the dashboard. — Withdraw consent: Pause capture from the Chrome extension, or uninstall it to stop data capture. Your existing memory records are preserved until you delete them.

Memory records are retained until you delete them or close your account. Raw session text is deleted once memories are extracted from it, and after 30 days at most. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Conxt is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of Conxt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
